Hello, I’m Rochelle N. Sparks, a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, and the founder of An Anointed Touch Recovery Center LLC.  My passion for this work is deeply rooted in my personal journey, my faith, and my commitment to helping individuals and families heal from addiction, trauma, and life’s most difficult challenges.

I believe that every person has a God‑given purpose — and that purpose guides, motivates, and ushers us into our destiny in Christ Jesus. My mission is to walk alongside you as you rediscover hope, healing, and the strength within you.

My Journey: From Brokenness to Purpose

​

I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Much of my young adulthood was spent navigating the criminal justice system, and in 2004, I entered Federal prison. That season of my life became a turning point — a place where God began to rebuild my identity, restore my hope, and reveal my purpose.

​

After my release, I dedicated myself to rebuilding my life, strengthening my faith, and pursuing the calling God placed on my heart. I returned to school, earned my degrees, and began serving individuals and families impacted by addiction and mental health challenges.

​

My story is one of redemption, resilience, and grace — and it fuels my passion to help others experience the same transformation.

​

Professional Background & Experience

​

Today, I serve as a Therapist at Recovery Village of Columbus, where I support individuals navigating substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health challenges. 

​

Education

​

• Master's in Social Work — Ohio State University

• Master’s Degree in Pastoral Care & Counseling — Ohio Christian University

• Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership & Ministry — Ohio Christian University

 

 

Clinical Experience

I have worked with numerous community agencies across Franklin County and surrounding areas, building strong relationships and supporting clients through addiction recovery, trauma healing, and emotional restoration.

My professional experience includes:

Leadership, Advocacy & Service

​

I define myself as a natural leader and advocate. My passion for service has taken me beyond the therapy room:

​

• In 2013, I traveled to Haiti to support communities recovering from the devastating 2010 earthquake.

​

• In 2023, I joined a select group of Ohio State University students in Washington, D.C., advocating for voter rights for formerly incarcerated individuals.

​

These experiences strengthened my commitment to justice, healing, and empowerment.

​

Life Beyond the Office

 

I am a proud mother of three beautiful children and a grandmother to two amazing granddaughters. I enjoy reading, traveling, long walks in meditation and prayer, and spending time with my family.

My life is a testament to God’s grace — and I bring that same compassion, hope, and faith into the work I do with every client.
